మరి ఈ సంధర్భంలో మన బెంగుళూరు లోని http://www.computerwarehousepricelist.com గూర్చి చెప్పాల్సిందే. ఈ సైటు లో ప్రస్తుత మార్కెట్ ధరలు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు update చేస్తున్నారు. విశేషం ఏంటంటే మీక్కావలిసిన కంప్యూటరు భాగాలుఎంచక్కా కంప్యూటర్ ముందే కూర్చుని ఆన్ల్‍లైను లో ఆర్డరు చేసుకోవచ్చు. బెంగుళూరు లో ఈ వెబ్‍సైటు చాలా పాపులర్. కస్టమర్ సర్వీసు బాగానే ఉంది. ధరలు కూడా మిగిలిన చోట్లతో పోలిస్తే చాలా తక్కువగా ఉన్నాయి.

ఈనాడు ఈ-పేపరు

క్రితం వారం ఈనాడు లో ఈ న్యూస్ చూసాను. ఈ-పేపరు. అసలు news paper ని scan చేసి అదే format లో వెబ్ లో పెట్టారన్న మాట. scan copy ని చదవ గలమా అని సందేహం అక్కర్లేదు. ఎందుంకంటే ప్రతీ వార్తా విశషం ని hyperlink తో పెద్దది చేసుకొని చదవొచ్చు. ఇంకో విశషం ఏమిటంటే జిల్లా editions తో సహా అన్ని అందుబాటు లో ఉంచారు. ఇది తెలుగు ఇంటర్నెట్ ప్రపంచం లో ఒక క్రొత్త వరవడి. ఈనాడు కు నా శుభాకాంక్షలు. అయితే మరి ఇది ప్రస్తుతానికి ఉచితం కాని త్వరలోనే చందా కట్టాలి రావచ్చు. ఎందుకంటే ఈనాడు వాడే software లో ఆ option తాత్కాలికంగా (౩ నెలలు) ఆపారు మరి. చందా నామమాత్రం గా ఉంటుందని ఆశిస్తూ..

Indian Units for Length & Area Measurement

Most of the indians still use imperial measurement system, though it is unofficial and is probably illegal. I had tough time in understanding these units as I am more familiar with SI units. Finally decided that I would need to master these units. In the process whatever the information I have collected, decided will publish it for others to use.

The basic unit of length is the yard (yd)

1 yard = 0.9144m

1 inch = 1/36 yd
1 foot = 1/3 yd

1 rod = 5 1/2 yd
1 furlong = 220 yd
1 mile = 1,760 yd

1 acre = 4,840 square yards or 160 square rods

Nemo

We didn't like any of the typical pet names which are popular India and we couldn't come to any conclusions quickly. After a long thought process finally lalitha short listed 'Kitty' and 'Nemo' characters from Monster's' inc and Finding Nemo respectively. 'Kitty' sounded little girlish and so finally decided on Nemo. Who doesn't like the little cute fish in 'Finding Nemo'.

We are now in the process collecting 'Finding Nemo' toys. Helping 'Disney' come out of the business difficulties :-)

Arun, my younger brother has been wondernig what the word 'Nemo' mean. He has done some googling and passed me the following link

Trip to Mekedatu

Our team has recently been to Mekedatu. Mekedatu is 98 kms towards south from Bangalore. The Cauvery River squeezes through a deep and narrow gorge over which a goat could leap. That's how Mekedatu (pronounced Maykay Daatu) got its name. Just 3 km from this spot is Sangama, the confluence of Cauvery and Arakavathi where there is a temple dedicated to Sangameshwara.

I must say that the trip is very enjoyable and the team is at its best in making the trip success. Read on the following link to find a summary of the trip written by 'Prashanth'.

Our Baby Boy - Adit

We are blessed with a cute baby boy on 1st January, 2004. 1st January it is really a special day indeed. Beginning of the new year, and beginning of new chapter in our lives. It is the morning 9:36 AM I have heard the first cry of our baby. Baby is so cute, and I can never forget my first glimpse of the baby. It is really a wonderful feeling and to know what it is you have to experience it. I am sure Lalitha has better experience than me.

We have named the baby as 'Adit' (ädith - 'the beginning' in sanskrit ) on 14th of January. It is a tradition in India to name the baby on an auspicious day after few days of birth.
